Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and DPhysics when you use this site or buy access to a class. Please read them before you pay.

1.Who we are
DPhysics is an online Advanced Level Physics tuition service at dphysics.lk, operated by Dasun Dimantha, an individual trader in Sri Lanka ("we", "us", "our").
You can reach us at reachdp6.lk@gmail.com.
By creating an account, buying access, or using any part of this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
2.Who may use the service
The service is built for Advanced Level students, which means many of the people using it are under 18. You may create an account and study at any age.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must read and accept these terms on your behalf before you pay for anything. By making a payment you confirm that they have done so. We may ask to speak to them if there is a question about a payment or an account.
You must give accurate details when you register, and keep them up to date. We use your email address and phone number to reach you about classes, payments and access — an address that does not work is a class you will not hear about.
3.Your account is yours alone
An account belongs to one student. Access you buy is tied to that account, and it is not transferable.
You agree not to:
- share your password, or let anyone else sign in as you
- let another person watch lessons or attend live classes on your account
- sell, lend or pass on your access to anyone else
- pass on a live class join link, which is issued to you personally
Keep your password to yourself and tell us as soon as you can if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens on your account until you do.
Sharing an account is the one thing that most often ends in access being suspended. We would much rather you told us about a problem than worked around it by sharing a login.
4.What you are buying
You are buying a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to watch, read and take part in the content you have paid for, for your own studies, for as long as your access lasts. You are not buying the content itself, and nothing you buy transfers ownership of it to you.
How long your access lasts is shown on the class before you pay, and it takes one of three forms:
| Type of access | What it means |
|---|---|
| Lifetime | Your access does not expire. |
| For a period | Your access runs for a set number of days, counted from the day it is granted. |
| Until a date | Your access ends on a fixed calendar date — usually tied to an exam — no matter when you bought it. |
Some classes include content added after you buy, and some are fixed to what existed on the day you bought them. Which one applies is shown before you pay, and it does not change afterwards.
5.Paying for access
You can pay by card or by bank transfer. You choose which at checkout, and the price is the same either way.
Card payments are handled by PayHere, a payment gateway licensed in Sri Lanka. You enter your card details on PayHere’s own secure page, never on ours — we never see or store your card number. Access opens automatically once PayHere confirms the payment to us, which is usually within a minute. If you are redirected back before that confirmation arrives, your access opens as soon as it does; you do not need to pay again.
For a bank transfer, the account details are shown at checkout. After transferring, you upload a photo or scan of your bank slip, and we check it against the payment before opening your access.
A bank transfer opens your access once it has been approved, not at the moment you upload a slip. That approval is done by a person and is not instant. If a slip is unclear, does not match the amount, or cannot be matched to a transfer we can see, we will come back to you rather than guess.
Prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees and are quoted for you at checkout. The price you are quoted is the price held for that request, even if the published price changes while your payment is being reviewed.
Any bank charges on a transfer are yours. If you send more than the amount due, we will tell you rather than quietly keep it — see the Refund Policy.
6.Live classes
Live classes are held over Zoom. Each class has a scheduled time and a join button on its page, and the link issued to you is personal to your account.
We record live classes. The recording normally appears in your library afterwards, and it is part of what you paid for. If you take part in a class — by speaking, by using the chat, or with your camera on — you may be captured in that recording, which is then made available to the other students of that class. If you would rather not appear, keep your camera and microphone off and use the chat sparingly.
We may move or reschedule a class. We will give you as much notice as we reasonably can. If we cancel a class outright and do not run a replacement, that is one of the situations we refund as of right.
A live class depends on your internet connection as much as ours. Missing a class because your connection dropped is not a cancelled class, and the recording is there for exactly that reason.
7.What you may not do with the content
The lessons, recordings, notes, worksheets and past paper solutions on this site are our work, or are used by us with permission. They are protected by copyright.
You may not:
- record, screen-capture, re-stream or re-upload any video or live class
- copy, republish or redistribute notes, worksheets or papers, in any form, including in a private group
- sell or offer any part of the content, whether or not you charge for it
- remove or obscure any watermark, notice or attribution
- attempt to download, decrypt or extract the video streams by any means other than watching them on this site
- use automated tools to scrape, harvest or bulk-download anything from the service
- attempt to reach content, another student’s data, or an administrative function that your account has not been given
You may download the notes and worksheets that are offered as downloads, print them, and use them for your own studies. That is what they are for.
Redistributing a paid class is not a grey area. It removes the reason the class can be made at this price, and we treat it as grounds for immediate termination without a refund, separately from any legal remedy.
8.Availability of the service
We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise that it will be available without interruption or free of faults. Maintenance, outages at our hosting or video providers, network problems and events outside our control all happen.
Parts of the service are provided by others: video streaming and file delivery by Bunny.net, and live classes by Zoom. Their availability is not something we control.
We may change, add to or withdraw parts of the service. Where a change would remove content you have already paid for, we will either keep your access to it or treat it as a cancellation and refund you.
9.Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account, with or without notice depending on how serious the matter is, if you break these terms — in particular by sharing an account or redistributing content — or if a payment turns out to be fraudulent or reversed.
Where an account is closed for redistributing content or for a fraudulent payment, no refund is due.
You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to close your account by writing to reachdp6.lk@gmail.com. Closing your account ends your access; it does not by itself create a refund.
10.What we do not promise
We teach Physics as well as we know how. We do not promise a grade, a result, or a place at any institution. Your result depends on your own work, and no tuition service can honestly say otherwise.
The content is prepared with care and follows the Advanced Level syllabus as we understand it, but it is teaching material, not official examination guidance. Where it differs from anything published by the Department of Examinations, theirs is correct.
Except as these terms say, the service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind so far as the law allows.
11.Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of an opportunity, or for examination results.
12.Your personal information
How we handle your personal information — including your bank slips, what you watch, and who we share data with — is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
13.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed.
If a change materially reduces what you get for access you have already paid for, it does not apply to that access. Otherwise, continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
14.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
These terms are published in English and Sinhala. If the two versions differ, the English version governs.
15.Contact
Questions about these terms, or anything else, go to reachdp6.lk@gmail.com. We would rather answer a question early than argue about a clause later.
